‘Dignified appearance and dark eyes’… The shy smile of a baseball dreamer who saved his life with CPR

On the afternoon of the 19th, the ‘Korea Baseball Softball Association 2022 Baseball Softball Night’ event was held at the Garden Hotel in Seoul.

Seongnam High School infielder Gong Do-hyeok received the Model Award at this event. Gong Do-hyeok, a sophomore in high school, appeared at the awards ceremony with dark eyes and a sad look. It was a nervous ceremony in front of many baseball seniors, but Gong Do-hyuk’s face was calm. 메이저놀이터

When Lee Jong-hoon, president of the Korea Baseball Softbo Association, received the model award, prizes, and a bouquet of flowers, Gong Do-hyuk smiled shyly.

On August 26, Gong Do-hyeok found a man in his 50s who collapsed at the fitness center of his apartment and continued CPR for about 30 minutes to save the man.

“I receive CPR once a year at school. I think that I can do what I have learned, so I can go out willingly. Two weeks before that happened, I accidentally watched a CPR video,” he said.

Lee Yi-seo said, “I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t difficult in the situation at the time. The people next to me did the same according to the manual. That’s why it went smoothly.”

Gong Do-hyeok of Seongnam High School scored 7 runs in 19 games with a batting average of 0.327 and OPS 0.785. He chose LG Seo Geonchang as his role model. As for the reason, he said, “I thought I had to learn by watching the tenacious play.”

Gong Do-hyeok, who is in his third year, expressed his determination, saying, “I want to grow my body through weights and show a good game based on basic skills.”
