Smith doesn’t believe in Philadelphia.
Steven A. Smith, known for his vitriol안전놀이터, recently appeared on ESPN’s ‘First Take’. Smith said at this meeting that the Philadelphia 76ers would lose to the Boston Celtics and not advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Third-seeded Philadelphia swept the sixth-seeded Brooklyn Nets in the first round and advanced to the second round. The opponent for the second round is No. 2 seed Boston. In the first game, season MVP and ace Joel Embiid was missing, but James Harden bombed 45 points to win.
In the 2nd and 3rd games, unfortunately lost. However, in Game 4, Harden again scored 42 points and turned the series back to square one.
It is impossible to predict which team will advance to the next round. Still, Smith confidently predicted Philadelphia’s series loss.
“I don’t think Philadelphia can win it. I don’t think they can beat Boston. So they can’t go to Miami or New York,” Smith said.
Why is Smith thinking this way? He took notice of Boston’s defense.
“I saw Marcus Smart playing great defense. Al Horford blocked several shots against Joel Embiid,” Smith said. I succeeded. I think Boston is a better team.”
Two of the remaining three games in the series will be played at Boston’s home, TD Garden. Game 5, the watershed of the series, will also be held at TD Garden. Because Boston is the top seed. However, if Harden plays like the 1st and 4th games, Philadelphia has a chance. But Smith doesn’t believe in Harden either.
Smith said, “Do you believe that Philadelphia can win because of James Harden? No. Harden’s performance in the first and fourth games is proud and deserves respect. But it will not happen again.”
