Young Chul Kim wins Mid-Amateur Golf Championship, qualifies for Korean Open

Kim Young-cheol has won the 29th Korea Mid-Amateur Golf Championship presented by Chammaroo Construction먹튀검증.

Kim finished with a final round score of 2-under-par 214 after three rounds at the par-72 Daeyumongber Country Club in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do, through Aug. 25.

After leading for two days with rounds of 3-under-par in the first round and 1-under-par in the second, Kim dropped two shots on the third day to win by three strokes over runner-up Lee Joo-seung.

The Korea Mid-Amateur Championship is the national title tournament for the country’s middle-aged amateurs and has been held since 1993.

The winner qualifies for the 65th Korea Open at Kolon next month.

“I’m very happy to have won the national title, and I will work hard to prepare for the Korea Open and perform well,” said Kim Young-chul.
