Zelensky urges Russian athletes to be banned from Paris Olympics

Correspondent Kim Do-yong = Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has once again insisted that Russian athletes be banned from participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

AFP reported on the 25th (Korean time), “Ukraine’s President Zelensky held a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron to urge a ban on Russian athletes from the Olympics.”

In a statement last December, President Zelensky strongly opposed the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the Paris Olympics as individuals. 온라인바카라

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) banned Russia and Belarus, Russia’s biggest ally, from participating in the Olympics after Russia invaded Ukraine in February last year. However, Russian and Belarusian players are allowed to participate in individual qualifications.

Prior to President Zelensky, Ukrainian Olympic President Vadim Kuchait is also actively moving to block Russia from participating.

Inside the Games, which specializes in news related to the Olympics, said, “Chairman Guzeit strongly insisted that Russian athletes should be prevented from participating in the Olympics in their individual capacity through a video call with IOC President Thomas Bach on the 24th.”
